Virtual launch ceremony on 23 November: Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0: Invitation to Virtual Launch Ceremony

The United Nations Environment Programme, the European Commission, the Environmental Defense Fund and the Climate and Clean Air Coalition are organising a high-level launch ceremony of the Oil and Gas Methane Partnership (OGMP) 2.0.

OGMP 2.0 is a voluntary initiative to help companies report and reduce methane emissions in the oil and gas sector, aiming to deliver a 45% reduction in the industry’s methane emissions by 2025.

Curbing methane emissions could reduce global temperature rise by 0.2 degrees by 2030 and a third of a degree by the end of the century
