DEAR Stakeholder Conference 2015

This one-and-a-half day event involved 65 representatives of DEAR stakeholder groups in the European Union in exchanging and discussing their respective priorities and in exploring opportunities for collaboration.

Participants included representatives of EU member state governments, national platforms of CSOs engaged in DEAR in EU member states, international DEAR networks and programmes, Local Authorities and researchers and academics with an interest in DEAR.

The Conference aims to gather and discuss the priorities of different stakeholders engaged in DEAR, the issues they face in its further development across the EU, and the potential for collaborative work across and between the different stakeholders at a European Union level. The Conference also provides an opportunity for networking between different organisations, authorities and agencies engaged in DEAR.

It is the intention that the Conference will lead to suggestions for the work of an EU DEAR Multi-Stakeholder Group to be supported by the European Commission’s DEAR Support Team. A report containing the Conference presentations, discussed issues and conclusions will be circulated to participants after the event.
