Proyecto Saywa:"Confines de legalidad laboral entre Perú y Bolivia" (Government)
Based in: 
Peru

GENERAL OBJECTIVE: to contribute to the fight for the eradication of poverty linked to the activities of the informal economy between the neighbouring provinces of Peru and Bolivia.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE: to favour self-employment and job opportunities through tourism and formalization, especially for women, young people and returning migrants (families of) who are currently dependent on the informal economy in the provinces at the border between Peru and Bolivia, in the Lake Titicaca area.

BENEFICIARIES: 
130 women (Quechua and Aymara), 80 young people (Quechua and Aymara), 30 returning migrants/family of.

STRAND:
Small businesses related to the tourism sector (with national and international users) who deal with: crafts (textiles and ceramics), rural and community managed hospitality (cafeterias, restaurants, accommodation), transport (land and lake).

WHERE:
Puno Province (Peru): Capachica District, Uros Chulluni;
Province of Lampa (Peru): District of Lampa, District of Pucará.
Province of Ingavi-La Paz (Bolivia): Tiahuanaco.

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES:
⦁    Formulation of Tourism Development Plans based on a study of the demand and supply to be validated and included in the tourist and cultural program of the Municipalities involved through participation in meetings and the inclusion of such plans in their extensive, municipal tourism development plans
⦁    Seeds Grants for small businesses in two tranches subject to supervision of the results obtained and of the costs actually incurred (for the launch or maintenance / renewal of the commercial activity concerned).
⦁    Technical assistance
⦁    Training sessions, courses and workshops on: environmental issues, respect and enhancement of culture and folklore, basic English skills, fundamentals of information technology, product differentiation, processes of formalization and Food Health and Safety 
⦁    Accompaniment in launching small businesses on national and international tourist circuits thanks to the identification of an adequate marketing strategy, ad hoc thematic platforms as well as geolocation on search engines.
