Lessons Learned and Good Practices in Natural Resource Management

This report collates lessons learned and good practices in Natural Resource Management in Sudan.

The "Adapt for Environment and Climate Resilience in Sudan" (or “ADAPT!”) project aims to integrate environmental management, governance and climate resilience best practices into a humanitarian and development programme to help the people of Sudan cope with environmental stress and climate change.

The report is divided in four themes:

  • Supporting livestock corridor management.
  • Registering and managing forests and rangelands.
  • Providing support to smallholder gum arabic farmers.
  • Developing synergy between Integrated Water Resources Management and Natural Resource Management.

ADAPT! is funded by the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) and implemented by UNEP in partnership with the Government of Sudan.
