World Environment Day - Brussels

On Saturday 5 June 2021, the spire of the Town Hall will glow green on the occasion of World Environment Day.

The City of Brussels wants to support of the program launched by the United Nations (UN): the UN Decade on Ecosystem restoration. This Decade aims to create a large-scale global movement capable of accelerating ongoing restoration efforts and leading the world on the path to a sustainable future.

 

 

 

Climate plan

The City of Brussels, through its climate policies, works to conserve and invigorate ecosystems, including and in particular in urban areas. The city also declared a climate emergency and pledged to take a series of concrete measures to respond to it. A new Climate Plan was launched, with the objective of carbon neutrality in 2050 on its territory.
