Gareth Williams specialises on political economy and governance analysis in developing countries. He has undertaken numerous political economy and governance assessments at country and sector level, and has worked on the development of political economy analysis tools for DFID (The Political Economy Analysis How-to note), the European Commission (Background paper on PEA and tools for country and sector analysis) and the OECD (International Drivers of Corruption tool). He has been active in the design and delivery of a training course on political economy analysis provided to DFID and other donors. He is currently a consultant at The Policy Practice.
