The German voluntary service in developing countries "weltwärts" is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. Young Germans (and young people who have a valid residence permit for Germany) aged 18-28 can take part in the voluntary programme (6-24 month) in developing countries.

With „workaway“ you have the possibility to stay abroad with a small budget. How? For your 4 to 5 hours help a day in the household and garden of your host, you’ll get board and lodging for free. Once you’ve registered at the organisation “workaway”, you’ll get access to a database with contact addresses of hosts. Contact your host to make all personal arrangements and then just get started.
