The Kulturlabor Stromboli is a cultural institution in Hall in Tirol, a town located in the heart of the Alps. It was established in 1989 and with more than 100 events over the year is Stromboli still one of the most diverse culture and creative hubs in the area. As well as concerts and theatre you can find here literature readings, cabaret, open air events, discussion groups, presentations, parties and children ́s programm. Beside, we run a coffee-bar, which has grown in reputation over the years and it has became a base camp for thriving youth scene. Innovating and trying new ideas is the motto of the organisation and we're glad that we can strengthen our team with another EVS volunteer. Our EVS volunteer is involved in almost all the processes related to everyday operation of independent cultural venue, helps in the office, at the bar or to prepare events. Other activities depends on mutual discussion and on the individual preferences, background and profile of the volunteer.

The accomodation cost and travel costs connected with EVS activities are covered. We provide our volunteer monthly food reimbrusement and pocket money. Hall offers a wide range of free time activities from sports and nature as well as cultural highlights which is where the Kulturlabor Stromboli plays a large role. For an even broader range of activities Innsbruck is very quickly and easily accessible with public transport in 10 – 20 mins.

We offer to our volunteers comfortable working environment in a small friendly team, which is always prepared to help with everyday questions. Our volunteer will be provided by language course and the place gives many opportunities for practising German. During 11 months spent in our organisation, the volunteer can gain unique experience of working in the independent cultural field. We are looking for a person who will actively help in all areas of our cultural work. Our volunteer should also bring willing to learn the requirements of a barkeeper and should also agree with working at night.

We expect that the art and culture is volunteer's passion and previous experiences are very welcome but not completely necessary. The willing to learn new things and active help with ongoing activities is obligatory. We believe that this cultural exchange will bring new cultural adventures to our centre.
