Volunteering in V.I.A.C., Youth center - graphic design, manual work

We are currently looking for 2 volunteers to organisation V.I.A.C.- Institut for Youth development and support, Trstena, Slovakia. Main activities and tasks: 1st volunteer - work of graphic and web designer in our NGO - promotion, flyers, posters, web, videos,... 2nd volunteer - manual work in our Youth center Next activities: Both of volunteers will help with preparation of activities in our organisation as well - workshops, summer camps, language courses, movies night, promotion of EVS, big yearly event as Gospel workshop, Adrenalin Race, ... We are Christian catholic organization so tolerance to Christian values is needed. Volunteers are invited to help us with preparation of activities for spiritual development, as well. Volunteers will work 5 days a week/35 hours in total. Sometimes also weekends are needed.

Volunteers will live in the flat 3 minutes of walk from organization. Flat has 2 separated rooms and one very big room halfly separated for two boys/girls. There is internet connection, 1 bathroom, kitchen and big corridor. It is quite a new flat. During the working days volunteers can have lunches together with people from organization in Youth center or they can go the restaurant or cook for themselves. Volunteers will get pocket money as well as money for their food every month to their own bank account. All travel costs connected with the project are covered.

- on-arrival training and mid-term training organiyed by Slovak National Agency Iuventa - online assesment centrum - support from EVS coordinator - Slovak lessons 3x per week first 2 months, then 2x per week

Freiwilligenprofil

1st volunteer: it is needed to be skilled in graphic and web design. He/she will be involved into our promotion - making flyers, posters, banners, web design, making videos,.. 2nd volunteer: he will help the manager of youth centre with the manual work around the centre outside but also inside - with the technical stuff, help with reconstruction of the building, with the preparation of the wood for the winter.. So he should have positive relation to this kind of work. Volunteers should be open and friendly, open to new challenges and to new possibilities.
