Programs and working groups of ECCSR:
Volunteer service program DOBRO - activities of the program, which was established in 2004 are focusing on exchanging of volunteers. ECCSR is a member of Ecumenical Diaconal Year Network /EDYN/ and with its established partners, other members of EDYN cooperating closely in coordinating, hosting and sending a long term voluntary service volunteers.
Study Centre for New Religiosity and Sects (CSS) - the main tasks are: to monitor teachings and practices of individual religious groups and sects; to build up the archive of the specialized literature archive, video and audio-documents; to organize specialized lectures, discussions, seminars and conferences; to inform public by means of publishing the professional articles in periodical ROZMER and web site www.sekty.sk; to cooperate with home and foreign centers, editorial offices.
Working committees (social, youth, women) – besides a regular gathering for worship services and bible studies churches are working also in certain practical areas. ECCSR created some working committees were is an open space for an exchange of experience and development of a work on common projects. Almost every member has its representatives in the committees.

ECCSR is a member of: Ecumenical Diaconal Year Network (EDYN), World Council of Churches (WCC), CCME, Conference of European Churches (CEC), Ecumenical Youth Council in Europe (EYCE), Ecumenical Forum of European Christian Women (EFECW. ECCSR cooperates with these organizations and works on common projects.
As mentioned above program DOBRO mainly deals with long term EVS. Therefore it puts a big stress as coordinating organization on its own supporting seminars for all the volunteers (its own and its partner host organizations). At the beginning of EVS "year" ECCSR program DOBRO provides an orientation seminar which is combined with intensive Slovak language course. The on arrival seminar prepares the volunteers for EVS year. The volunteers are informed how the year is organized, what is planned, how the structure of EVS in program DOBRO looks like, how to "survive" the stay and be prepared for EVS and 1 year, etc. Then follows mid-term seminar where the volunteers discuss all the aspects of their voluntary service until that time with the coordinators of the program together with activity games. At the end of the voluntary service is held an evaluation seminar with a preparation to return back home. During these seminars and also during whole EVS year program DOBRO, via coordinator of the program, leads and builds all the volunteers in their personal development together with a support together with the host placements. All the volunteers are meeting together on various activities provided by program DOBRO. As a additional value for the volunteer(s) is a possibility to visit the placements of the other volunteers coordinated by our project, even to participate on some of their activities. Thanks to this possibility the volunteer(s) can experience more working areas.
Besides coordination of the volunteers ECCSR also promotes EVS program and looks for new volunteers and new placements. For sending volunteers provides preparation for EVS together with important information.
Program DOBRO concentrates mainly on long term EVS (11-12 months) - coordinating, hosting and sending volunteers starting in September (August) and closing end of July or August (depends on a placement). In some cases especially for volunteers with fewer opportunities in a cooperation of our partners it might be a short term.
Program DOBRO is serving as the coordinator of the small NGOs (host organization/placement) who do not have a capacity to do coordination on their own. The NGOs are dealing with youth; kids; mentally and physically disabled; seniors etc. And besides of the coordination of the program DOBRO ECCSR also hosts its own volunteers in its member churches (local churches in Bratislava and surrounding area) in their activities (mainly free time).
