The Roquetes Civic Centre is under municipal jurisdiction and houses the Mercé Lleixà Municipal Library and the "La Tribu" centre. The Youth Department works cooperatively with them. One of the objectives of the library is to contribute to the cultural development of the municipality. The activities are aimed at promoting the use of the library and encouraging interest in reading. Some of the objectives are: to reduce cultural and educational inequalities, to facilitate access to cultural goods and to democratise information; to create collective awareness of the value and importance of the Library as an informative, documentary and cultural resource. Some of the services it offers are: the general information service, where advice is given on how to find information, the on-site consultation and reading service and the lending service. It also offers support for training, orienting users by providing them with the necessary means for their development and learning. Training is provided for users, and activities are organised to promote the use of the library and the interest in reading among adults and children: story time, reading workshops, conferences, talks, book presentations, etc. Library opening hours are: Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10am to 1.15pm, and Monday to Friday from 4pm to 8.45pm.

In the "Tribu" there are activities for children and young people. It carries out a preventive task, offering support, stimulating and strengthening the personality of the children in their free time, paying special attention to those who are at risk. Some of the objectives are: to attend to all minors at risk, to promote their socialisation and integration in the life of associations and culture, as well as their families; to occupy their time educationally; to promote teamwork, dialogue and respect; to accompany and guide families in the educational process of their children. Some of the children are referred from social services, which have a more individualised treatment due to their difficulties. There are a maximum of 20 children in the centre and two educators work there. The opening hours are from 16.30h to 19.30h. The activities are organised in three blocks: reception, snack and free time; school reinforcement; games and free time activities. Extraordinary activities are also organised, such as the international day of the game or of the family, or participation in traditional festivities.


El Centro Cívico de Roquetes es de competencia municipal y en él se encuentra la Biblioteca Municipal Mercé Lleixà y el centro "La Tribu". El Área de Juventud trabaja cooperativamente con ellos. Uno de los objetivos de la Biblioteca es el de contribuir al desarrollo cultural del municipio. Las actividades están orientadas a potenciar el uso de la Biblioteca y a fomentar el interés por la lectura. Algunos objetivos son: reducir las desigualdades culturales y educativas, facilitar el acceso a los bienes culturales y democratizar la información; crear conciencia colectiva del valor y la importancia de la Biblioteca como recurso informativo, documental y cultural. Algunos de los servicios que ofrece son: el servicio de información general, donde se asesora a encontrar información, el servicio de consulta y lectura in situ y el servicio de préstamo. También se ofrece apoyo a la formación, se orienta a los/as usuarios/as facilitándoles los medios necesarios para su desarrollo y para su aprendizaje . Se realizan formaciones para los/as usuarios/as, se organizan actividades orientadas a potenciar el uso de la biblioteca y el interés por la lectura en adultos y menores: la hora del cuento, talleres de lectura, conferencias, charlas, presentaciones de libros, etc. El horario de la biblioteca es: miércoles y sábados de 10h a 13.15h, y de lunes a viernes de 16h a 20.45h.
En la "Tribu" se realizan actividades para niños/as y jóvenes. Hace una tarea preventiva, ofreciendo apoyo, estimulando y potenciando la personalidad de los niños y niñas desde el tiempo libre, ofreciendo una especial atención a aquellos que se encuentran en situación de riesgo. Algunos objetivos son: atender a todos los/as menores en situación de riesgo, potenciar su sociabilización y integración en la vida asociativa y cultural, así como a sus familias; ocupar su tiempo educativamente; fomentar el trabajo en equipo, el diálogo y el respeto; acompañar y orientar a la familias en el proceso educativo de sus hijos e hijas. Algunos de los/as menores vienen derivados de servicios sociales, los cuales tienen un tratamiento más individualizado debido a sus dificultades. En el centro hay un máximo de 20 niños/as y trabajan dos educadoras. El horario de atención es de 16.30h a 19.30h. Las actividades se organizan en tres bloques: acogida, merienda y tiempo libre; refuerzo escolar; juegos y actividades de tiempo libre. También se organizan actividades extraordinarias como el día internacional del juego o de la familia, o la participación en fiestas tradicionales.
