(IUS) is and non-governmental youth organization, founded on December 8th, 2005. During eleven years of our activity we collected over $50 000 for children's hospital equipment (during Ukrainian nationwide charity marathon "Run for the sake of kids"), organized Ukrainian culture schools for young leaders from all over the world, series of training courses in management, fundraising and PR. Besides, NGO "Institute of Ukrainian Studies" conducted several regional sessions of of European Youth Parliament in Lviv, NATO operation model (2009). IUS representatives and volunteers took part in more than hundred training courses, youth exchanges, educational visits all over the Europe within EU programs "Youth in Action" (till 2013) and Erasmus+ (since 2013 and till present). Since year of 2015 we pay much more attention to our work on inclusiveness of Ukrainian society aiming at involvement of representatives of marginalized and other vulnerable society groups including disable people, internally displaced persons, national minorities etc. One of our biggest projects is "Sensoteka" - social inclusive library-based space in Lviv. It is an informal inclusive space where everyone can find their own place regardless sex, race, religion, disability, gender identity, social status. The space is created in the local library #18 in Stryiskyi park. There we organize versatile events, for instance intercultural evenings. We are eager to spread multiculturalism and tolerance towards other cultures.


Our mission is to promote the development of inclusive and tolerant society in Ukraine by involving people with disabilities and members of other vulnerable social groups into an active social life and educational activities aimed at protection of their rights.

Our tasks are:
-Support tolerance and sympathy in Ukrainian society
-Raise awareness of local communities and society in general about possibilities and potential of people with disabilities;
-Protect human rights including rights of people with disabilities on the local and nationwide levels;
-Promote development of inclusive society in Ukraine, Lviv in particular;
-Develop young leaders;
-Encourage youth to take an active part in social life.

Denne organisation har fået tildelt Det Europæiske Solidaritetskorps' kvalitetsmærke. Kvalitetsmærket certificerer, at organisationen i stand til at forvalte projekter i overensstemmelse med det europæiske solidaritetskorps mål og principper.
