The activities will mainly take place at the Ole Vig high school, where students will organise an exhibition on past Youth in Action projects in Stjørdal. Participants from Youth Exchanges, and Youth Initiatives will share their experiences and information on all project types will be distributed. During the week there will be food, music and competitions to draw people to the exhibition area.
The Youth in Action programme's focus on the challenges faced by young persons with fewer opportunities, human rights, democracy, tolerance and cultural understanding will be highlighted.
The main event during the celebration of the European Youth Week will take place at the school on Wednesday 29th of May at 11.30
On June 5th at 18:00 there will be an anniversary event at Lokstalen in Stjørdal, where films made by two ongoing Youth Initiatives will be screened for the first time; a media workshop for mentally disabled persons and a project for unaccompanied minor Afghan refugees. In addition there will be more promotion of the YiA programme and the possibility to see different documentation from past projects. This event was originally scheduled to take place during the Youth Week, but had to be postponed.
