How to engage young people in an inclusive Europe?

To answer that question over 200 young people and policy makers from across Europe met at the EU Youth Conference held in Malta (20-23 March 2017) and developed a concrete action plan for use by Member States

During 18 months more than 65,000 young Europeans had their say in youth policy through the Structured Dialogue. The EU Youth Conference concludes this dialogue between policy-makers and young people focused during the current trio Presidency on the theme “Enabling all young people to engage in a diverse, connected and inclusive Europe: Ready for Life, Ready for Society”.

Some of the recommendations issued in Malta include suggestions to organise youth festivals for European engagement at local and national levels, to include a chapter on Youth Work and Youth Spaces in the Youth report of the European Commission, to have life-skills classes in school curricula and develop mental health first aid kits.

By the end of the Maltese presidency, the plan will be disseminated to all relevant stakeholders.
