4 Reasons why an internship abroad will change your life!

Contemplating about going on an internship abroad? Consider your options: stay in your comfort zone and seek a placement locally, or do you want to be doing something bold, adventurous, something you will still be talking about in 10 years?

Here are a few reasons for making the bold choice and going abroad:

Gain independence: Living alone is like a big dive in the deep, so imagine how your personality  will develop if you’re living alone in another country without a help line from your parents!
What’s a better way to become fully independent and get ready for your coming adulthood.
Start making those meals, washing those clothes, becoming your own guide.  And of course you’ll have  new flat mates with whom to travel and share new experiences with!

Explore a new culture: Just forget everything you know, it’s time for a Spanish, French or another country version of you. Enjoy the differences that the city has to offer compared with your hometown. Taste the different foods, explore the different cities.
But remember, you aren’t tied to the one city your living in, if you’re staying for a long time, start to look for cheap travel deals. Explore that country, see every city, every hotspot, make every weekend feel like the best vacation ever.
Don't let yourself settle into familiar things and activities and lose this opportunity to look at things from different angles, be memorable and soak up everything you are offered.
Get a new outlook on the whole world!

Strengthen your CV:  The experience you get while doing aninternship abroad is tremendous, you will be several steps ahead of the people who didn’t take this wonderful opportunity. And the best part is that by living there, you will automatically be learning the new language subconsciously.
So put in a little effort and you could even potentially add a new language to your resume.

Networking: Time to expand that network with some valuable and fun people.
Connect with your colleagues, your boss or the whole building.
Get out, take those coffee breaks, go for a drink after your work, learn the language or the local customs.
You will be spending 8 hours a day with each other, so find your perfect mix of being fun and being professional and you will greatly enjoy your time.

So enjoy it, embrace it, become a new person and deeply strengthen and extend your personality with this opportunity of living abroad.
