The Bogliasco Foundation’s Liguria Study Centre, near Genoa, awards residential fellowships to artists and scholars of all nations, genders and ages.
Can you apply?
You are welcome to apply if you are doing both creative and scholarly work in the fields of archaeology, architecture, classics, dance, film or video, history, landscape architecture, literature, music, philosophy, theatre, visual arts. However, keep in mind that the study centre doesn’t have rehearsal studio space if you wish to work extensively in performance, particularly with respect to dance, music, and theatre.
How to apply?
To apply for the Bogliasco Fellowship, you need to demonstrate significant achievements in your discipline, that are in line with your age and experience. You should also submit descriptions of the projects you intend to pursue in Bogliasco. Remember that Bogliasco Fellowships are not awarded to students currently in a degree programme.
You can submit your application file in English, French, German, Italian, or Spanish. Make sure you check all the necessary documents and full details about the application process on the Fellowship website.
Fellowships usually run from September to December 13 (fall-winter semester) with the application deadline in January, and February to May (winter-spring semester) with the deadline in April. Check the fellowship website for this year’s dates.
The Bogliasco Foundation has hosted nearly 700 Fellows from 40 countries since its opening in 1996. Every year, the Foundation awards around 50 fellowships that usually last from 30/31 to 33/34 days.
