New EU online information platform in Chinese
Bridges are being built between the European Union and China in different sectors, such as digital technology and infrastructure. In the same way, Oumeng.eu has been created specially for Chinese speakers to get access to useful information in their language on various topics of interest for youth in the EU.
What can you find on the platform?
You can browse freely through pictures and search for specific content, including:
- A cultural calendar providing the latest updates on the upcoming cultural events promoted by the embassies of EU Member States and cultural institutes taking place both in China and Europe.
- An interactive map providing information and statistics on all EU countries.
- Many helpful tips, including education systems (universities, scholarships, etc.), jobs (in European companies and embassies), culture and travel (Visa, etc.) in the EU…
The platform has been launched by the Delegation of the European Union to China as part of the activities to celebrate 40 years of EU-China diplomatic relations and enhance cultural and people-to-people links between the EU and China.
An extra-ordinary meeting will be organised in Brussels, Belgium on 15-17 September by the EU-China High Level People-to-People Dialogue (HPPD). The aim is to contribute to the knowledge and common understanding between China and the EU to promote intercultural dialogue and to build mutual trust and respect between the two sides, especially in the area of youth. The HPPD produced a number of joint partnership projects involving youth organisations on the topics of employability, entrepreneurship, involvement in society and voluntary activities for youth.
