Express your opinions in the European Youth Parliament

The European Youth Parliament encourages you to take an interest in current affairs and the democratic process, practice independent thinking and take personal initiative. Do you want to take part?

Are you:

  • between 16 and 22?
  • studying in Europe?
  • open-minded and curious to discover alternative views, other cultures and new people?
  • interested in issues that affect the society we live in?
  • up for a fun time?

If you answered “yes” to all these questions, then you are eligible to join one of the EYP’s (European Youth Parliament) sessions. Keep in mind that to take part in the International Sessions, you must win a national competition run by your National Committee. However, many Regional Sessions have just a simple application procedure.

Get in touch with your National Committee and find out where to start. If your country is not listed you can contact the EYP’s international office.

How does it work?

The EYP organises 3 international 10-day sessions every year, always in a different European country. In each session, the delegates come together in multi-national committees looking at different topics on which they produce a Resolution to be debated in the General Assembly.

“The opportunity to develop a range of skills is the most impressive aspect of EYP: from diplomacy and consensus building, to rhetoric and leadership, to writing and editorial experience, to fundraising and project management.”
M. Roberts, 27, UK, Venture Capital Management.
