If you answered “yes” to all these questions, then you are eligible to join one of the EYP’s (European Youth Parliament) sessions. Keep in mind that to take part in the International Sessions, you must win a national competition run by your National Committee. However, many Regional Sessions have just a simple application procedure.
How does it work?
The EYP organises 3 international 10-day sessions every year, always in a different European country. In each session, the delegates come together in multi-national committees looking at different topics on which they produce a Resolution to be debated in the General Assembly.
“The opportunity to develop a range of skills is the most impressive aspect of EYP: from diplomacy and consensus building, to rhetoric and leadership, to writing and editorial experience, to fundraising and project management.”
M. Roberts, 27, UK, Venture Capital Management.
The EYP is one of the best places for interested young Europeans to engage in political debate and encounter new cultures. Managed by the Heinz-Schwarzkopf-Foundation "Young Europe", the EYP involves over 20,000 young people from 35 countries in more than 100 regional, national and international events every year.
