First European Presidential Debate in Maastricht
Candidates participating are:
- Jean-Claude Juncker (European People’s Party);
- Martin Schulz (Party of European Socialists);
- Guy Verhofstadt (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party);
- Ska Keller (European Green Party).
The debate will focus on the issues that matter most to young Europeans; the questions will be gathered using a unique participatory process, through collaboration between Maastricht University and the European Youth Forum/League of Young Voters.
The debate will be available live in 13 languages: Arabic, English, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Turkish and Ukrainian.
And don't forget, you can also have your own say: submit the questions you would like to ask the future President of the European Commission at #EUdebate2014 and it may be one of the questions that will be asked during the first ever European Presidential Debate.
