The Youth Guarantee is a new approach to tackling youth unemployment which ensures that all young people under 25 – whether registered with employment services or not – get a good-quality, concrete offer within 4 months of them leaving formal education or becoming unemployed.
The participants of the conference, to be held on 8 April, will discuss on the progress achieved by Member States in putting in place Youth Guarantee schemes and making use of the funds available to support its implementation.
The conference will be opened by the President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, and participants will include, among others, representatives of social partners, youth organisations and public employment services, as well as Youth Guarantee coordinators.
You can follow the conference online via live streaming sessions.
We will keep you updated on any news about the Youth Guarantee project.
