The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will host the "Your Europe, Your Say" event in Brussels, from 26-28 March 2014, where you can take part in a real-life debate to negotiate and eventually agree on a resolution that could leave a lasting impression on Europe. The first step is to convince your teacher to register your school via the online registration form before 30 November (midnight Brussels time).
After registration has closed, one school from each of the 28 EU Member States will be picked at random, to take part in the simulation. The selected schools will then choose three students in their pre-final year of secondary education (16-17 years) to represent them, as well as an accompanying teacher. If you are one of these three lucky students you have to make sure you are able to express yourself in English or French. The EESC will pay for you and your teacher's travel and accommodation expenses.
"Your Europe, Your Say 2014" will focus on the 2014 European Elections. Under the campaign slogan 'act, react, impact', EU citizens are being encouraged to choose who will represent them for the next five-year term. This is a very important issue for Europe, affecting you, your friends, your parents and your school. So you should have your say!
