Volunteering in exotic environments far from Europe is a common dream. But did you know you culd volunteer in Norway as well?

The European Voluntary Service (EVS) allows young people aged 17-30 to volunteer for 2-12 months in Europe and the neighbouring areas.  EVS is almost free of charge for the young participants, and Norway hosts around 100 EVS volunteers every year in NGOs or public institutions such as youth clubs, culture houses and municipal coordinators for volunteering.

CISV Norway - Oslo

CISV Norway (Childrens International Summer Villages) has been a host organisation for EVS volunteers for several years. Although the volunteers work in the central office of the organisation in Oslo, they get to travel a lot to help out with activities locally. Curious about their experiences as volunteers in Norway? Have a look at their EVS at CISV-blog to learn more.

Ungdom og fritid - Stavanger

The EVS volunteers in Stavanger work in the municipal youth clubs and help to initiate and facilitate activities for young people. Take a look at the blog of the volunteers in Stavanger, and check out their experiences.
