The European volunteers who realize their projects in the Youth Council of the city of Elche begun their talks in the Centres of Secondary Education about the European Union and the various opportunities that the European Union offers.

During the months of January, February and March 2014, the European volunteers will give their talks in fifteen Centres of Secondary Education in the municipality of Elche for approximately 1,250 students, providing information about the programs that the European Union offers, about its institutions, different European cultures and diversity among the European countries. The European volunteers also report on the possibility of travel, study and work abroad.

At the same time the volunteers give information about the networks EURODESK , EURES and the new program Erasmus +, emphasizing the program European Voluntary Service which are realizing in Elche in the period between October 2013 and June 2014.

The volunteers also share with the young local people their own experience with volunteering so that the young people become aware about the importance of European mobility and diversity.

The talks are very popular among the young people of Elche. During these three months the number of people interested in these projects of the European Union is increasing substantially, especially the interest in the program European Voluntary Service.
