CoderDojo

CoderDojo is the global network of free computer programming clubs for young people.

CoderDojo is a global movement of free, volunteer-led, community based programming clubs where children and young people (7-17) can learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and explore technology in an informal and creative environment.

The clubs also offer a space where young people can meet their peers with common interests and discovere possibilities of technology together.

The CoderDojo Movement is present in many countries of the world and is focused on community, peer learning, youth mentoring and self led learning. In the same time it aims to show coding as a force for change in the world.

In the Republic of Ireland there are currently 179 regsitered CodeDojo clubs.

Participation in the clubs is free of charge.
