The topic for the month of February is "Tobacco"; the articles on tobacco products might give you further inspiration. You have until Sunday 23 February at midinght CET to send your photo and your application form to the following email address: email@example.com.
The February winner will be announced on the last week of the month and the photo will be used to illustrate an article on this topic. January' s jury winner about cars and vans emissions is Stéphane Debrulle and his photo will feature the related article during the second February plenary sitting, when the report on CO2 emissions will be voted on.
The ten best photos of each month will be posted on the European Parliament social media pages and the most liked photo will be awarded a public prize. Among those photos, the editorial committee will also pick the winners of each month; one of them will become the jury prize winner. You can now check out the album with the 10 best photos of January and "like" to vote for your favourite on Facebook or on Flickr!
Both the socia media and the final jury winner will be invited in Strasbourg to the first new European Parliament sitting in July 2014, where they will get the chance to create their own photo-reportage of the event.
