The UNESCO Young People's World Heritage Education Programme (WHE) sees you as a future decision-maker, and as a decision‑maker you should preserve the world’s heritage. For you to gain all the related skills and knowledge, the WHE Programme has several options, but the most attractive are without a doubt the Youth Forum and the Word Heritage Volunteers programme.
The Forum can give you and your teachers an opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas on how to become involved in heritage conservation and presentation. You will get the chance to meet people from other countries and learn about their heritage. You might even join the youth delegation that presents the results of the Youth Forum at the World Heritage Committee meeting. So far, 18 international and regional youth forums have taken place with more than 1500 young people participating.
If you are between 18 and 30 years old, you can take part in a youth action camp as a volunteer for 2 to 4 weeks. You will have the chance to take concrete action and to play an active role in the promotion and preservation of World Heritage. You will have the opportunity to meet members of youth groups and heritage & education experts.
