Fighting climate change together
Climate change is the result of transformation in our weather patterns because of an increase in the Earth's average temperature. But which are the causes and consequences of this phenomenon? What is Europe doing?
The Directorate-General for Climate Action at the European Commission's works everyday to combat this problem at EU and international level. Through a funding policy, Europe set up some goals for 2020, 2030 and 2050. For instance, among other objectives, by 2020 all member states are committed to reduce green house gas emissions or to increase in energy efficiency by 20%.
