If you are looking for a job or studies in Europe, the frst thing you have to do is to prepare your Europass document

With Europass you can introduce your credentials in a very clear and effcient way according to a framework easy to understand in all European countries.

Europass establishes a unique framework to identify your skills and abilities, whatever the country where they have been acquired. It has its origin at the Decision nº241/2004/EC, of 15 December 2004, and it's accepted in all member states of the European Union, as well as those of the European Economic Area (EEA) and European Free Trade Association (EFTA), and countries that are candidates for accession to the European Union.

The Europass consists of:

1.The Curriculum Vitae Europass (CV): is a structured and standardized curriculum model, that you can fll and update at the Europass web page -where you can fnd the model with instructions for flling it out.

2.The European Skills Passport (ESP): it’s an electronic portfolio to attach to the CV that allows you to add supporting documents to reinforce it. In particular, you can include the following documents:

◦The language passport: is a document you can elaborate from the template available on the Europass web, indicating your native language and then, for the rest of the languages you also speak, your self-evaluation, diplomas or certifcates you have, and linguistic experience.

◦Europass Mobility: it's a document that grants the knowledge and skills you may have acquired in an European country different from yours, where you have been send to, in the framework of an European program (Leonardo da Vinci, Erasmus, Comenius, Grundvig). To obtain the certifcate, you must ask for it to the sending partner from your native country; the document has to be flled out for your designated guardian of the host partner at the foreign country and then it is validated by the competent body of the autonomous region or the corresponding University: after this process, the document is send to the National Register of Europass Mobility, where it is automatically registered. As a holder, you can recover the document in a pdf format at any time, through the OAPEE. web page.

◦The Diploma Supplement: as its name means, it is a document that describes the knowledge and skills acquired if you have a higher education degree, to facilitate its comprehension in different countries to that where it is been issued. It doesn't replace the original degree nor means its automatic recognition by competent authorities of third countries. You can obtain it from the index published at the TodoFP web.

◦The Certifcate Supplement: equal to the previous for university’s degrees. You must apply for the university you get your degree at.

For further questions related to these documents, you can contact the Centro Nacional Europass España.
