The participation of Aragonese youngsters in Erasmus+ interchanges.
The Erasmus+ interchanges are projects which offer groups of youngsters who come from different countries, the possibility of undertaking educational and cultural activities as well as other activities with interesting themes, helping them to come across and get to know their respective cultures.
The management of the interchange projects is undertaken in different stages as is indicated in the European Commission's guide to work.
The preparation of the project involves the selection of the most adequate associates to the idea of the project and the interests of our organisation. The training arrangements are laid out, the selection of the participants is made, and the starting process of the agreed activity with the associates and the youngsters, the intercultural and linguistic preparation related to the tasks of those involved are done before actually setting out.
The pursuit of the project: In this phase, activities of mobility are undertaken including the undertaking of the activity, their evaluation, the formal acknowledgement of the activity with the Youth pass Certificate, the learning of the volunteers during the activity as well as the diffusion and the use of the results of the projects which is one of the most important phases.
During the youngsters interchange the participants carry out a work programme (combination of workshops, exercises, debates, role-play games, simulations, activities in the open air, etc..) designed and prepared for them before the interchange.
The participants are youngsters with ages ranging from 13 to 30, resident in the countries involved in the project. An interchange of youngsters must have a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 60 participants, not including the leaders of the group. A minimum of 4 participants per group. All the national groups must have at least one group leader.
As indicated in the Erasmus+ programme guide, the duration of the interchange is from 5 to 21 days excluding the time for travelling, the data in which the activities are undertaken are those referred to and should be included within the dates of the project. In the case of interchanges of youngsters the activity has to be carried out in the country of one of the participating organisations. In the event that the interchange is undertaken in neighbouring countries associated with the EU the activities should be undertaken in the country of one of the organising participants.
The search for associates can be undertaken by means of the data base otlas which is an on-line tool for organisations working in the area of youngsters: In otlas one can register details for contact and the area of interest, as well as your petition for associates/interlocutors for ideas for projects.
The National Agencies are the entities which manage various aspects of Erasmus+ Programmes, among them, the interchange of youngsters. They manage funds coming from the European Union as grants for the realisation of projects. They organise education in collaboration with CCAA, conferences and seminars. They assess the youngsters and inform and help the participants.
