Internship at the EU delegation to the United Nations

What will you do as an intern?

As an intern at the EU delegation you will follow the work of UN bodies such as the Security Council, the General Assembly and its various committees, as well as the Economic and Social Council.

Working alongside Delegation officials, you will draft reports and briefings for the Commission's HQ in Brussels and to the Commission's Delegations throughout the world.

 

Can you apply?

To be eligible you must:

  • be a EU citizen
  • have completed at least 3 years of university-level courses preferably in political science, economics, development studies, environment studies, and human rights/humanitarian law
  • be fluent in English
  • have full comprehensive medical and accident insurance, valid in the USA & Canada.

Unfortunately, you cannot apply if you've already had in-service training or worked with any of the EU institutions or bodies for more than 6 weeks.

 

How to apply?

Complete the application form and send it to the Internship Coordinator. Make sure that your application pack includes the completed application form, your CV, a covering letter and references current or former professors or employers.

 

Be aware of Deadlines!

The Delegation offers 3 voluntary internship sessions a year from 3-6 months. To find out when the next applications deadline is, look on the European Union @ United Nations website.
