Staying Abroad as Part of Your Professional Training
Erasmus+ offers support to trainees and the recently qualified looking for internships, additional training, and further education in another European country.
This EU programme offers funding and support; for example, help with travel costs, accommodation, preparation, or additional language courses for trainees, students of vocational and commercial colleges, students of higher and further professional education, and the recently qualified. You must be staying abroad for a minimum of 2 weeks and a maximum of 12 months.
The programme is aimed at trainees as well as teachers and other education professionals.
How Do I Apply?
Applications may be submitted by organizations only, not by individuals. Therefore, your best course of action is to talk to your vocational college administration, the company that's training you, or your professional education facility. Further information is available in Germany from the Service-Hotline of the Nationale Agentur Bildung für Europa beim Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung: 0228-107 1608.
Time spent abroad as part of professional training is funded by the EU Erasmus+ programme. The "Vocational Education and Training" section features "Mobility for Young People", which includes funding options for trainees.
