The second cycle of the Structured Dialogue focused on the over-arching thematic priority of "Youth participation in democratic life in Europe", with each of the Presidency countries deciding on their own specific priorities.
The timetable for the three phases of the second cycle of Structured Dialogue was:
Cyprus Presidency – 1 July 2012 to 31 December 2012 – "Youth Participation and social inclusion, with an emphasis on the young people with migrant background"
Denmark Presidency – 1 January 2012 to 30 June 2012 – "Participation: creativity and innovation"
Poland Presidency – 1 July 2011 to 31 December 2011 – "Mobility of and cooperation between young people from the EU and EU neighbouring countries"

At the end of this 18 month cycle of the Structured Dialogue, the Council of the European Union adopted a Council Resolution highlighting the major recommendations from the process.
