The Follereau Foundation offers a lifetime experience to young people in Luxembourg: leave for a voluntary project in an African country.
Among other humanitarian projects, the Follereau Foundation is fighting against tropical diseases, is working to protect children in distress, and trying to improve health conditions in several African countries. Congo, Mali and Benin are some of the countries its aid is concentrating on.
In coordination with the National Youth Service of Luxembourg, the Follereau Foundation offers to youth between 18 and 30 years old that wish to help a humanitarian cause the chance to live and work in Benin or in another African country, depending on the availability and the future projects. Excess of motivation is needed for such a project; the projects offered are mostly long-term and their nature diverse. This type of voluntary service belongs to the broader program of voluntary service of cooperation and is destined to young residents of Luxembourg from 18 to 30 years old. If you are interested, or if you need more information, you can contact the National Youth Service (SNJ - Service National de la Jeunesse).
You can check the testimonies of several young people like Nathalie, Mike or Stephanie who joined the cooperation voluntary service program with SNJ - Service National de la Jeunesse and Follereau Foundation. You can read their adventure day-by-day and feel the gratification of offering without expecting something in return!
