Improvisational theatre can be beneficial, as it releases hidden tensions and makes an individual to feel at ease with his body and expressive means.
Improvisation or improv, in its short form, is used not only on stage and professional rehearsals, but also in classrooms and businesses as an educational tool. Improvisation is a way to develop communication and brain-storming skills within a team. It is sometimes used in psychotherapy as a tool to gain insight into a person's thoughts, feelings and relationships.
This type of spontaneous theatre for amateurs has its very own niche fans in Luxembourg; thanks to the organisation specialised in Theatre improvisation, whether it is as a spectacle or as a leisure activity, POIL or Pole Impro started as a non-profit organisation on 2010 and it is by now quite successful, with invitations in festivals, shows and of course workshops for children, and adults.
You can choose between the workshops for beginners or for advanced levels, and you can even arrange for POIL to give a workshop in your company or at your place!
