Travelling Europe - United Kingdom
The United Kingdom is made up of four countries: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Then there are the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man, which are part of the British Isles but not part of the UK... confused yet? Each part of the UK has its own distinct heritage and culture. This diversity means that each country runs most of its own affairs and has its own devolved government - except for England, which doesn’t have a parliament. So while there is general information for the UK here, you’ll also need to look up the country-specific sites to find out more.
