* Information not yet provided by national authorities

EU citizens have the right to reside in Italy for a period of up to three months without any conditions or any formalities other than the requirement to hold a valid identity document for travelling abroad: ID or passport.

Non-EU family members of an EU citizen may also enter into and reside in Italy without any formalities. They must however hold a valid passport and, where required, an entry visa or a valid "Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen".
