Legal requirements

Restrictions

To protect consumers, the law requires that only products and services which are safe can be marketed.

The Law on the safety of products and services sets out the safety standards that products and services must meet.

The Directive on General Product Safety (DSGP) is designed to ensure that non-food consumer products marketed in the EU are safe.

The 'CE' mark on a product certifies that the product meets European standards of safety and health and has been approved for sale on the market.
