Information on foreign trade, exporting and finding business partners is offered by:

The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) provides information on doing business in third countries. There are three LIAA representative offices located outside the EU: in Japan, Russia and Norway. There are also public LIAA representatives in Egypt, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, India, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.

Latvian businesses also receive help from the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Latvian embassies abroad, which help them to start business with foreign business partners and continue it successfully. The main thrust of embassy activity in different regions and countries varies according to the needs of business.

Programmes

The Latvian Guarantee Agency provides an export credit guarantee scheme aiming to support exporters by covering risks associated with export operations as well as serving as an export operations guarantor where funding is needed.
