Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, ich bin Klassenlehrer einer 10. Klasse mit 28 Schüler. Ihr Kalender hat 228 Seiten. Das heißt es müssen 28 mal 228 Seiten ausgedruckt werden. Für diesen Kalender hat sich jemand bestimmt viel Mühe gemacht, doch für den Unterrichtsalltag nicht machbar. Schade. Weniger wäre mehr gewesen.

In de meeste scholen worden uniforme schoolagenda's gebruikt. De agenda van de EU komt dus dubbelop. Mss moet er eens over nagedacht worden om een gewone agenda te maken ipv een schoolagenda en dan ook plaats voorzien voor zaterdag en zondag. Uiteraard kan er plaats voorzien worden voor planning van schooltaken (langlopende opdrachten bv.) Jongeren hebben tegenwoordig echt wel een agenda nodig en dat kan niet allemaal opgeslagen worden in een gsm. Op die manier zou het gebruik groter worden.

Was mich besonders irritiert ist, dass es sich um einen Schülerkalender handelt. Schülerinnen sollten sich doch auch angesprochen fühlen! Wo bleibt die Gender-Sprache. Ich habe dies bereits wiederholt an verschiedenen Orten deponiert.....

This is a nice booklet, which has about 100 pages of text as well as an agenda part where you can write appointments or home work. With three days over each agenda page, you have the right space to write. The subjects are very varied. I do not immediately see what they have in common. But after a while I gather that the common point is that the European Union deals with all of it in one way or another. Most of the pages are full of subjects that pupils directly relate to. There are good discussions about online piracy and relevant advice on buying food or sunscreen. Or (not) buying drugs. Only at a few occasion I can feel that some EU people must be sitting behind and are eager to explain what they have written in a law or in some document, rather than taking the side of the young people. Who is fascinated by something called "neighbourhood policy"? It is not really about a street party , but apparently something to do with nuclear safety in Armenia – or that it is in our own interest to take care that live gets better in any country near us. That is in the category for the more serious politics. Europe is always good for that – and 15 years old should also try to get into it. They are well helped by this book. Many of us would still like to have a paper book like this on the table. But I do not see anywhere how the publishers relate to the calendars in any pupils phone. Or to the smart boards that may be soon invade all of us as the coordination point for everything in class. But maybe they have plans in the drawer?
