The Economic and Social Committee (ESC) endorses the strategy for concluding an agreement with MERCOSUR which would concentrate on the liberalization of trade between the EU and MERCOSUR, on support for MERCOSUR integration based on "substantial cooperation", and on strengthening the EU/MERCOSUR political dialogue.
