Message of condolences from President Barroso to Yves Leterme, acting Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium, following the storm which struck the Pukkelpop festival in Hasselt
"It was with great sadness that I learned the news of the storm which struck the Pukkelpop festival in Hasselt on Thursday 18 August, leading to the tragic loss of five people and numerous injured.
On behalf of the Commission and of myself personally, let me express my sincere condolences and my profound sympathy to the families of the victims, as well as my wishes for a speedy recovery to those injured."
