Transposition – 10 New Member States
The data the Commission has for EU-10 Member States is less refined than for EU-15 Member States. It is therefore not yet possible to compare EU-10 Member States with EU-15 Member States. For EU-15 Member States, each individual national implementing law has been verified to see whether it fully transposes a Directive or whether further national measures are necessary. The Commission is currently carrying out this verification exercise for the thousands of national implementing measures notified by the 10 new Member States since their EU accession.
