Il-Kummissjoni Ewropea

Stqarrija għall-istampa

Brussell, il-21 ta' Marzu 2013

L-UE tgħid li għandna nigglorifikaw l-intraprendituri tagħna: Il-kreaturi ta’ Skype, Spotify u Angry Birds jagħtu parir lill-UE — l-ewwel fażi tal-kampanja “StartUp Europe”

Ħafna nies tiġihom f’moħħhom Silicon Valley fl-Istati Uniti meta jaħsbu dwar it-teknoloġija u l-intraprendituri — il-Kummissjoni Ewropea trid li ż-żgħażagħ Ewropej ikunu ispirati minn intraprendituri lokali, sabiex l-ideat tajbin tagħhom jibdew u jibqgħu fl-Ewropa.

Bl-għajnuna tal-kreaturi ta’ Spotify, Angry Birds, Tuenti, Skype, SeedCamp, HackFwd, London's Tech City u TheNextWeb, il-Kummissjoni qed toħloq pjattaforma għall-intraprendituri li jispikkaw biex jirrakkontaw l-istejjer tagħhom ta’ ispirazzjonijiet u frustrazzjonijiet, biex jiġbdu l-attenzjoni taż-żgħażagħ u tal-mexxejja Ewropej dwar il-potenzjal ta’ karrieri intraprenditorjali.

"L-Ewropej jeħtieġ li jkunu kreattivi u kuraġġużi. Dan huwa l-mod kif bdew għexieren ta' kumpaniji tat-teknoloġija u tal-web fl-UE, li huma wħud mill-aktar kumpaniji dinamiċi tad-dinja. Irrid li d-dinja kollha tkun tafu", qalet Neelie Kroes, il-Viċi President tal-Kummissjoni Ewropea, "Irrid li l-intraprendituri żgħażagħ ikollhom mudelli ta' eżempju, u li kollha jkollhom suq uniku diġitali reali fejn jistgħu jiżviluppaw l-ideat tagħhom.”

Il-klabb ta' mexxejja ta' StartUpEurope huwa l-ewwel parti ta’ Startup Europe, il-pjan f'sitt partijiet tal-Kummissjoni Ewropea biex jiġu aċċelerati u konnessi l-ekosistemi lokali għall-intraprendituri fl-Ewropa. L-obbjettiv ta’ dan huwa li jgħin lill-kumpaniji biex jibdew u jikbru fis-settur teknoloġiku fl-Ewropa u li jespandu l-attività tagħhom fid-dinja kollha.

Il-membri tal-Klabb ta' Mexxejja ta’ Startup Europe huma prova ħajja li l-intraprenditorija fil-web tista’ tkun karriera ta' sodifazzjon kbir. Neelie Kroes qalet "Dawn in-nies ma tkellmux biss li se jagħmlu xi ħaġa, iżda marru u għamluha". Din hija r-raġuni għaliex iż-żgħażagħ u l-kapijiet għandhom jisimgħuhom.”

Pereżempju, Spotify huwa disponibbli fi 23 pajjiż; Skype jitratta terz mis-sejħiet internazzjonali; u Angry Birds huwa ikbar minn Twitter, b’aktar minn 250 miljun ta' utenti attivi kull xahar. Madankollu l-għadd ta’ gradwati fl-ICT qed jonqos u l-qgħad qiegħed dejjem jiżdied. L-intraprendituri jistgħu jgħinuna nimlew dan il-vojt.

Il-mexxejja (f’ordni alfabetiku, ara l-anness għal bijografija sħiħa) huma:

  1. Zaryn Denzel, (@Zaryn), imwieled f’California, fundatur ta’ Tuenti, l-ikbar netwerk soċjali 'bi stedina biss' ta' Spanja

  8. Niklas Zennström (@atomicoventures) – il-kofundatur ta' Skype, Kazaa, Joltid, Joost u Atomico

  1. L-Isħubija Startup Europe (Startup Europe Partnership), biex jiġi sfruttat l-għarfien espert, il-mentoring, it-teknoloġija u s-servizzi

  2. Il-Forum tal-Aċċeleraturi tal-UE (EU Accelerators Forum) biex jikber l-għarfien dwar il-programmi aċċeleratur eżistenti

  3. In-Netwerks ta' Crowdfunding tal-UE (EU Crowdfunding Networks) biex jingħaqdu flimkien il-pjattaformi eżistenti ta’ crowdfunding, speċjalment dawk speċjalizzati f’websajts li jkunu għadhom kemm fetħu

  4. Sensibizzazzjoni akbar tal-investituri ta' kapital ta’ riskju (venture capital) għal negozji fuq il-web billi wieħed jaqsam magħhom l-stejjer ta’ suċċess u permezz ta’ attivitajiet ta’ netwerking

  5. It-trawwim ta’ talent ġdid tal-web billi:

    a) Jitwessa’ r-rwol tal-pjattaformi ta’ edukazzjoni onlajn (bħal “Massive Online Open Courses”) biex jingħeleb in-nuqqas ta’ żviluppaturi tal-web;

    b) Jintużaw pjattaformi ta' tpartit bħala suq għall-kondiviżjoni u n-negozjar ta' ħiliet fost l-intraprendituri tal-web madwar l-Ewropa kollha; kif ukoll

    c) Tiġi esplorata l-vijabilità, fil-livell Ewropew, ta’ ġemellaġġ bejn nies esperti u intraprendituri żgħażagħ biex jaqsmu ideat u esperjenzi.

Sfond

L-intraprendituri tal-web madwar id-dinja kollha għandhom impatt enormi fuq l-ekonomija u s-soċjetà. Il-biċċa l-kbira tal-impjiegi l-ġodda huma maħluqa minn dawn il-kumpaniji li jkunu għadhom kemm fetħu, u 45 % tal-Ewropej jixtiequ jaħdmu għal rashom jekk tiġihom l-opportunità.

Kollettivament, kull sena, fl-Istati Uniti, il-kumpaniji li jkunu għadhom kemm fetħu joħolqu tliet miljun impjieg matul l-ewwel sena ta’ negozju, livell ta’ dinamiżmu li nixtiequ naraw fl-UE.
