Do virtuálního partnerství škol v rámci akce e-Twinning je nyní zapojeno 35 000 škol

eTwinning je iniciativa EU, jež podporuje navazování kontaktů mezi školami prostřednictvím internetu. Během tří let od jejího zahájení se k ní připojilo více než 35 000 škol. Na konferenci akce eTwinning konané ve dnech 14. až 16. března v Bukurešti Evropská komise udělí ceny osmi vynikajícím školním projektům v rámci tohoto programu.

Akce e-Twinning byla zahájena v lednu 2005 a od té doby se k ní připojilo více než 35 000 škol z celé Evropy. V současné době spadá pod akci Comenius, jež je součástí programu celoživotního učení, který je stěžejním programem Komise pro financování v oblasti vzdělávání. Akce e-Twinning umožňuje školám nalézt si bezplatně za pomoci internetu partnery pro společné školní projekty. V roce 2008 bude spíše než na realizaci projektů kladen důraz na podporu online komunit, v rámci kterých mohou školy sdílet své znalosti a účastnit se diskusních fór.

Letošní výroční konference e-Twinning se uskuteční ve dnech 14. až 16. března 2008 v Bukurešti. Na akci bude pozváno více než 400 účastníků z řad učitelů z celé Evropy, zástupců národních a centrálních podpůrných středisek pro akci eTwinning a ostatních významných subjektů zapojených do školního vzdělávání.

Ján Figel', evropský komisař pro vzdělávání, odbornou přípravu, kulturu a mládež, před zahájením konference vysvětloval význam eTwinningu: „Tento program elegantním způsobem kombinuje získávání poznatků o ostatních kulturách s využíváním informačních a komunikačních technologií. eTwinning a jeho virtuální partnerství, do něhož jsou zapojeny desítky tisíc evropských škol, pomáhá dětem seznámit se s počítači a zároveň bourá překážky v podobě nedostatku informací o jejich evropských vrstevnících. V letošním roce, který je Evropským rokem mezikulturního dialogu, je tato stránka eTwinningu obzvláště vítána.“

Hlavním bodem konference bude slavnostní ceremoniál, během kterého budou předány ceny osmi nejlepším projektům v rámci akce e-Twinning pro školní rok 2006–2007. Ceny budou udělovány ve čtyřech kategoriích, z nichž tři jsou věkové (4-10, 11-15, 16-19) a jedna je vyhrazena pro vědy a matematiku.

Bylo posuzováno více než 400 kandidujících projektů a hodnotila se jejich inovační povaha, začlenění do osnov, míra spolupráce a kreativity a další využitelnost projektu. Osm finalistů bylo vybráno ze 26 škol z 17 zemí (Belgie, Česká republika, Dánsko, Estonsko, Francie, Německo, Řecko, Maďarsko, Itálie, Litva, Norsko, Polsko, Slovensko, Slovinsko, Španělsko, Švédsko a Spojené království).

První čtyři vítězné projekty budou odměněny květnovou cestou na tábor eTwinning.
