Justice and citizens rights, Events/Conf/Fairs, European Commission
As the debate about the future of Europe gathers pace, the European Commission has been reaching out to citizens by visiting towns across Europe and asking them directly for their views.
This time, European citizens from all over Europe are invited to talk about their real experiences as Europeans and share their concerns and aspirations for the future of Europe and their future as European citizens.
President Barroso, the other Members of the College and the participating politicians will discuss the questions that have been raised over the last 18 months, such as e.g. how we can overcome the crisis, how we can bring together sustainability and competitiveness, how we ensure the rights of Europeans or how can we create an inclusive society that provides opportunities for all.
The European Citizens' Dialogue will be a unique event and allow citizens and politicians to engage in a debate in a truly pan-European public space that will bring the best out of the European diversity.
