Events/Conf/Fairs, European Commission, Business
The event, now in its second year, will host a fair along with a conference and workshops to discuss tourism.
The fair will highlight the importance of European cultural routes in the development of a new form of tourism, focused on respect for the environment, culture and populations. The aim is to promote cooperation and exchange between possible partners in tourism services and to raise awareness of the potential of this new kind of tourism.
The conference will underline how cultural tourism - and especially cultural routes – can strengthen the sense of common values and heritage beyond the diversity of European cultures, and reinforce the idea of European citizenship (2013 is the European Year for citizenship).
The Workshops will bring together European tourism industry stakeholders, cultural organisations and public authorities to explore ways to work together on the promotion of cultural routes, their contribution to the diversification of tourism and to sustainability.
These events are open to everybody – cultural and tourism associations, international organisations, national and regional authorities, travel agents and tour operators, specialised journalists ...etc.
