The International Rare Diseases Research Consortium (IRDiRC) was launched in April 2011 to foster international collaboration in rare diseases research. IRDiRC will team up researchers and organisations investing in rare diseases research in order to achieve two main objectives, namely to deliver 200 new therapies for rare diseases and means to diagnose most rare diseases by the year 2020.
The IRDiRC Conference will be held in Dublin and will be organised by the European Commission during the Irish Presidency of the European Union.
The conference aims to gather stakeholders active in the rare disease area from across the globe. In addition to a top-level programme taking stock of advances toward IRDiRC goals, it will provide ample opportunities to network with the international rare disease community.
