Thème : Économie, finances, impôts et concurrence
Organisateur : Comité économique et social européen
Group III "Various Interests" of the EESC is organising an extraordinary meeting to examine and debate issues related to access to credit by economic operators and to stimulating consumer savings. The Conference is being organised in such a way as to provide a platform for dynamic dialogue between key actors from consumer, family and SME organisations along with traditional cooperatives and ethical financial institutions also with the participation of regulatory and supervisory bodies of the financial markets. The main aim is to come forward with proposals to suggest possible ways out of the current vicious circle that is preventing businesses from starting-up, operating and growing, and consumers from saving money securely and productively.
Group III brings together representatives of academia, consumers, families, farmers, social economy, liberal professions, SMEs, environment and human rights. It is therefore particularly well-placed to voice the public’s concerns and also has a deep understanding of the initiatives, activities and projects undertaken by the different actors of organised civil society in the Member States.
This will be a highly interactive conference animated by a professional moderator, so be prepared to intervene in the lively debates to raise issues, present best practices and make suggestions for future improvements. A set of conclusions reflecting the outcomes of the debates will be drawn-up, presented to the relevant institutional actors, circulated among the participants and diffused to the wider public.
