The conference will be opened by a keynote speech on “Sustainable and adequate Pensions through Active Ageing” by Ralf Jacob, European Commission.
Keynote speakers will also include László Andor, European Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, and a range of experts from Member States, academia, social partners, pension funds and companies who will discuss how to promote active ageing and intergenerational solidarity.
The programme will focus on themes such the “Role of the social partners in promoting active ageing and intergenerational solidarity” and the “Role of pension funds in promoting active ageing and intergenerational solidarity”, before taking a look at various practical examples from around the EU.
The Closing of Conference by László Andor will then be followed by a discussion with the Commissioner, together with Francesco Briganti, Director of the European Association of Paritarian Institutions (EAPI), and Matti Leppälä, Secretary General of Pensions Europe, on how to promote active ageing and the role of pension funds in this respect.
